Vibratory Feeder
Description
A vibrating feeder or vibratory feeder is an industrial machine used to feed material to a process or machine. Vibratory feeders use both vibration and gravity to move material. They are mainly used to transport a large number of smaller objects.
A vibratory feeder is a machine used to feed bulk materials uniformly and continuously from a storage unit (like a hopper or silo) to the next process (conveyor, crusher, mixer, or packing machine).
It uses vibrations to move material forward in a controlled manner.
Working Principle :
Material is loaded onto the feeder tray
Vibrations are generated by the drive system
The tray moves in a small, rapid motion
This motion pushes material forward in a
controlled flow
The feed rate can be adjusted
by changing vibration intensity
Types of Vibratory Feeders
1. Electromagnetic Vibratory Feeder
Precise control
Used in food & pharma
2. Motorized Vibratory Feeder
Heavy-duty
Used in mining & construction
3. Vibratory Bowl Feeder
Used for small components (automation)
4. Grizzly Feeder
Used for large materials & screening
